ABOUT THE CLIFFCREST SCARBOROUGH VILLAGE SW Residents Association

Cliffcrest Scarborough Village SW Residents Association is a not-for-profit corporation established by concerned citizens wishing to take an active role in municipal affairs, which may affect our neighbourhoods including: traffic and public safety, environmental preservation and reviewing development proposals to ensure the well-being of the community. If you have any issues that are of concern affecting the Cliffcrest or Scarborough Village neighbourhoods in Toronto, please contact us.

How the Association was formed:

In August of 2020 a small group of residents from Windy Ridge Dr. met in response to the Condo proposal at 3291 Kingston Rd., and 2 and 4 Windy Ridge Dr. The passion quickly channeled into an organizing committee and soon after the group was joined by experienced individuals from the Cliffcrest and Oakridge community. It did not take long to come to the conclusion that there was a need for a residents association that would bring the communities together to effectively participate and oppose unreasonable and inappropriate condo and oversized infill developments that are not sensitive to the natural and physical character of Cliffcrest and Scarborough Village. This led to the incorporation of the Cliffcrest Scarborough Village SW Residents Association (the “Association” or “CSVSWRA”).

The Association brings with it the benefit of a collective voice and united community to influence change and decisions in our neighbourhoods.

The CSVSWRA Objectives:

The Association wants to represent the voices in the neighbourhood, to raise awareness and advocate for inclusion and due process in the decisions that impact our community.

At all times the Association endeavours to:

  • BE INCLUSIVE - We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities.
  • BE RESPECTFUL - We won't all agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for disrespectful behaviour. Be aware, be kind and respectful of others, do not insult or put down others.
  • UPHOLD THE INTEGRITY OF THE CSVSWRA - When interacting with City Officials, developers, etc., individuals will endeavour to conduct themselves in a business like manner, sensitive to the needs of the community, observing and upholding the expectations of the association and abiding by the code of conduct of all public bodies (e.g., Committee of Adjustment, Toronto Local Appeals Board, etc.)

More about the Association:
